Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi #6
Epub, 360 Pages
more chasing and fighting from the Skywalker/Sith/Aboleth group. And the jedi decide to take their future into their own hands instead of allowing Daala to do that for them. Sets things up for a huge confrontation, or even a total withdrawal of the jedi from the Galactic Alliance.
For a Denning Star Wars book, I actually really enjoyed this. So far, everything he has touched has rotted, but this was ok.
And it is about time the Jedi get pro-active, instead of serene [and dead]
Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi #3
Luke and Ben go on some weird force trip and meet dead people. Seriously.
Some darkside force is manipulating the sith to capture the Skywalkers. More Jedi go crazy and there is more confrontation between the Galactic Alliance and Jedi Order.
Star Wars: Legacy of the Force #9
the end of the Legacy series. I was glad it was done. Jaina kills Caedus, who in the end allows himself to be killed so that he can send a warning to Tenel’ka about a virus directed at their daughter. Everything just wrapped up so quickly and neatly once Caedus was out of the way. The series went out with a whimper, in my opinion. This book was as good as the rest of the series though.
Star Wars: Legacy of the Force #6
Luke is shown for the Grand Master of the Jedi Council that he is. The Society of One Sith are revealed and pave the way for the Legacy Comics. I hope Caedus dies a slow painful death.
Star Wars: Legacy of the Force #3
Denning, while not totally redeeming himself from the Darknest fiasco, has certainly gone a long ways toward it. Jacen is becoming more and more powerful, and sets up Lumiya and Luke & Mara to face off, to see what happens. Ben is becoming a little “yes man” for Jacen, Han and Leia are now hunted by Jacen for supposedly trying to assassinate Tenel Ka and Allana. Jacen is completely over the edge, the galaxy’s “peace” means more to him than the individual, and it is hinted at that there might be a hidden Order of the Sith, in defiance of the One Master, One Student sith rule. Just hinted though…
Post RotJ, pre-Zahn. Han and Leia must rescue an Alderaanian painting that has a secret Rebel code in it. Sets up for the stupid Darknest trilogy 20+ years later. Readable, but not buyable. No info is provided[hence needed] to flesh out the Star Wars universe.

after the NJO series.
I did not like this series. Jaina isn’t with Jagged Fel but with that loser Zekk, Ben Skywalker is withdrawing from the Force, Jacen has daugher with Tenel Ka, and a badly damaged Jedi joins with some bugs and becomes “dangerous”. Besides not liking how it turned out, the ideas about the Force are very buddhistic, and I don’t like Jacen, becoming more like Anakin Skywalker right before he became Darth Vader. Poor writing, stupid story, bugs as badguys? Come on, give me a break. This was a waste of paper and my time.
By far the worst bit of plot AND writing I have come across in the Star Wars Universe. Even The Truce at Bakura and The Crystal Star were a joy to read compared to this!
