I just finished editing the blog (for today, not as in “It is Finished”) and have gotten 2007 done. This was a huge step, as 2007 was when I started recording the volumes of manga that I read alongside the novels, which meant that my numbers exploded on a monthly basis. With 2007 and up done, what I still have to do back to 2000 is much more manageable.
I’ve been working on this Project for the last 2 1/2 years and I must admit, there are times I wonder if it will ever get done. Then there are the times when something like the Block Editor happens and I wonder if I’ve wasted my time. Thankfully, little milestones like this keep me going. It is also a milestone in that I have now passed the 3400 post mark.
While the end of this project isn’t exactly near, it’s a LOT nearer than it was 2 1/2 years ago ๐ I guess I should probably start thinking of what my next blog project should be.
Anyway, this just felt good to accomplish this today and I thought I’d share. Cheers!
Congrats! That really is an amazing milestone to reach, but honestly both are terrific achievements: I mean 3400 posts! ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ Good luck with editing the rest: you will get it done eventually Iโm sure๐

Thank you. It just felt really good to finish up January 2007 this afternoon and be done with it.

Congrats! I’ve been getting those email notifications and I must say, it looks like a heavy job, digging through these old reviews and organizing it all! Do you read them while updating?

I do, mainly because i have to check that the review in calibre matches the ones from my blog. Usually, if there are any differences, it’s a sentence or two at the very beginning or ending.
Thankfully, I didn’t write as much then as I do now, or else it would take even longer ๐

This is the project you started more or less around the time i was just getting into WP. I was like:โThis man is a blogging god of some sortโ. To which i later learned it was not far from the truth. Goodjob man. Maybe after you finish you can write up a self help guide as to how to do it the right way the first time arount? Better yet, your struggles with ye olde Blocke Editorรจ

These long term projects can be mind numbing and grind you down at times so well done on getting that year done! I’m on a few long term computer tidying projects which I continue ploughing through and feel like they will never end! Good luck with the rest and I’m glad the worst is done!
