Nothing was happening. I was not in the mood for some b-quality fantasy book to give me a modicum of entertainment. This was no worse than the previous 2 books but that is damning praise. It was like eating spaghetti but without any sauce or meatballs or spices.
I am really not having good luck with the Warhammer universe. Savageddt has suggested I try some Gotrek and Felix. My only reservation is that those books appear to also be written by William King and I’d really like to try someone else. Guess I’ll be spending some time this weekend checking some other Warhammer series out.

Valkia the Bloody or Wulfric if they are among the friends… I am sad to see a dnf my friend, I had high hopes for this series…

Well, if you can enjoy the previous two, you’ll probably be ok with this one. I’d just reached a saturation point of mediocrity 😦

I read some Gotrek and Felix…they were bland and repetitive. I think that the Warhammer 40K universe is slightly more interesting (though all the Space Marine stories quickly start to sound alike and even the “good” guys are pretty horrible).

Thanks for the heads up about G&F. As for WH40K, I dabbled into the Horus Heresy and really disliked it. So I don’t know how much I want to try to bull my way in…

Yeah, I can usually only handle the short story collections in 40k and quickly DNFed the two books I tried from the
Horus Heresy series (which is more of a spinoff/prequel series).

I was never interested in those warhammer books. And everything I’ve read about them sounds pretty bad haha. I leave them be!
Hope you can find a better one 😀
