inside to his nice warm, comfy couch!
*reality check*
Unfortunately, my boss sometimes has a say in things and he’s more likely to say “Get out there and earn your livelihood!” than “Sure, take the day off, paid. Here’s a hot cup of cocoa too.”ย Bosses are kind of funny that way I have found. All focused on getting work done instead of handing out free money to me. One of those mysteries of life I guess.
But it sure was a cold one yesterday! It was 15degrees and with the windchills, closer to 0, all day. That’s in Fahrenheit. Celsius would be negative 9degrees to negative 18degrees with the windchill. And we’d just gotten a foot of snow. Man, sometimes I really love New England. And Sunday afternoon into Monday we’ve got another storm on the way. Possibly another foot of snow with that. I am NOT working Monday ๐
Man, I love those guys, they’re likeย Grumpy Cat before Grumpy Cat existed. All right, it’s time to head out. Have a great Saturday folks.
Stay warm, Bookstooge!

No, actually it couldn’t.

Actually, it could! I could be in my boxers and slippers instead of 7 layers and snowmobile boots ๐

And here I am in Australia, complaining about the rain and 17 degrees today. I will feel a little bad now. But will drink a nice hot tea anyways^^

Geez, that’s a crap ton of snow. New England has been hammered these last few winters. My MiL lives up on Cape Cod, we worry about her every year whenever they get these storms.

I don’t know how people on the little islands do it. They always get things about 5x worse than the rest of us.

Normally I would look at your photo and, coming from a very temperate part of the continent, would be rather shocked. But since we’ve had about 2-3 feet of snow and have had temperatures close to yours (actually more around -10C), I’m really not impressed …. ๐
Hey, if you’re not working Monday you can ………… READ! ……. ๐

yeah, it is all comparative, isn’t it?
As for Monday, you nailed it on the head. Today and tomorrow “should” be readathons. We’ll see if that actually works out though. I’m finding I will read for an hour or two, then bounce around for a bit, then repeat.

It’s the modern tendency to not be able to focus on anything for long. No matter how much you try to resist, it’s contagious, like a disease …. ๐

It ticks me off. I want to be able to focus for 8rs at a time. Sometimes I feel like I’m corrupted by the society I’m in, against my will ๐ฆ

IMHO, snow should be admired only on postcards – never experienced directly! ๐
