Path of Destruction

Path of Destruction
Star Wars: Darth Bane #1

1000 years before New Hope. A showdown between the Sith and the Jedi is taking place. The Sith have become a watered down version of the Jedi, espousing mutual help for mutual benefit. Into this comes a young man who takes on the name of Bane. Through his training he realizes the Sith have fallen from their original precepts and begins to plot. This book introduces us to the “modern” Sith idea of “One Master, One Disciple”. And the Sith mantra, very opposite of the Jedi mantra. Overall, a good light read. Worth buying for its historical roots.

                1. Started with a bang in how you were writing, ie, style-wise, or enthusiasm, or something else?

Honestly, you aren’t the same person you were back then, even over this short a time period. It’s good that you can see how you’re changing. Now you just have to accept that you ARE changing ๐Ÿ˜€

And if you don’t like how you are changing, then make it something you concentrate on. And if you can’t do that, then you just have to realize “that’s life” ๐Ÿ™‚ Not to lecture you, please don’t take it that way. But some things are worth fighting to change and some things aren’t. You have to decide which is which.

                  1. If there is one person i can take a lecture from its you my friend. I think i have felt in the last few months that my enthusiasm was lacking a lot, but then i get those odd reviews where i just end up having tonnes of fun with once i start. Im all for changing and dont oppose it, just 2020 shit I guess, has been putting a damper on us all.

                    1. Yeah, the enthusiasm is hard to keep up. This year has been brutal. I was at a mens group for church this past saturday and it really hit me how all of us there were on edge and much more easily provoked and it’s all because of covid and everything else going on. It really seems like 2020 just poured the stress on the whole world.

And it doesn’t help your situation that you were working SO MUCH! Hopefully if things go back to a bit more normal (they’re already talking about a vaccine for the general populace in April of ’21) then the stress will go down too.

                    2. Ive been back at work now for 4 days, its winter now so things are a little bit slower, i cherish these days because i feel within the next two weeks we are going to be crying on a daily basis just for the season to be over…

                    3. Well, we have just gotten out of our two week lockdown, things seem to be going oke for now. By we, i mean the whole country. I do not know if we will be able to manage if they decide to bring down another month of lockdown… milou and i not working means there is no income, state wont help us either when it happens as they feel they did a good job at the start of the year.

                    4. Gotcha. I didn’t realize you’d just come out of a lockdown. I know you’d talked about it but didn’t realize it did happen.

So basically, you have to work, or else. Now that is stress!
